The agreement

These terms are a contract between you and Laertex Inc. By creating an account or using our website, courses, and community (together, "Laertex"), you're agreeing to them. If you don't agree, that's okay, but please don't use Laertex.

You need to be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account. If you're using Laertex on behalf of a company or school, you're confirming you have the authority to accept these terms for them.

Your account

Keep your login details to yourself, your account is for you, and you're responsible for what happens under it. Use a strong password (we teach a lesson on that, actually), and tell us right away at support [at] laertex.com if you think someone else got in.

Give us accurate information when you sign up, and keep your email current, it's how we reach you about anything important, including changes to these terms.

Payments & refunds

Prices are shown clearly before you pay — the price on the button is the price you're charged, plus any tax your location requires. No surprise fees at checkout, ever.

If you have a subscription, it renews automatically, and we'll email you before any renewal at a higher price. You can cancel anytime from your settings, cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and it's a button, not a phone call.

Our refund policy is simple: if a course isn't right for you, email us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. We won't grill you about why. We ask honesty in return, the refund window isn't a way to take every course for free, and we may decline refunds where there's a clear pattern of abuse.

Using our content

When you buy a course, you get a personal, lifetime license to learn from it, watch it, re-watch it, download your worksheets, take notes, use everything you learn in your real life. That never expires.

What you can't do: resell our courses, share your login, upload our videos elsewhere, or repackage our materials as your own. Laertex content stays our intellectual property, the license is for your learning, not for redistribution. If you're a teacher or creator who wants to use our materials with a group, just ask; we say yes more often than you'd think.

The house rules

Our community exists so regular people can talk about money without shame or scams. To keep it that way, don't:

• Pitch or promote, no selling products, recruiting for MLMs, shilling investments, or "DM me for a great opportunity."

• Give directive financial advice, share your experience ("here's what worked for me"), not instructions ("put your savings in X now").

• Shame anyone about money, debt, low income, past mistakes. Everyone here started somewhere. Punch at the confusing system, never at the confused person.

• Break the law or the platform, no harassment, impersonation, scraping, hacking, or using Laertex for anything illegal.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. For anything short of serious harm, we'll warn you first and explain why.

Your content

Anything you post in our community, questions, wins, budgeting tips — stays yours. By posting, you give us permission to display it on Laertex so other learners can see it. That's the whole reason you posted it, and that's all we use the permission for.

If we'd ever like to feature your story in marketing, say, a success story on our homepage , we'll ask you first. Your post in a community thread is not silent permission for a billboard.

Ending things

You can leave anytime. Delete your account from settings, and our privacy policy takes over from there, your data is erased within 30 days.

We can suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms. Unless the violation involves harm to others, fraud, or legal risk, we'll warn you before acting and tell you what happened. If we ever discontinue a paid course you own with no replacement, we'll refund the unexpired value — you won't pay for something that disappears.

Limits of liability

We work hard to keep Laertex accurate, available, and useful, and we fix mistakes when we find them. But we provide the platform "as is": we can't promise it will always be error-free or online, and we can't guarantee any financial outcome from what you learn.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the issue arose. We're not liable for indirect losses, like investment losses, lost profits, or decisions you made based on educational content. Some places don't allow certain liability limits, so parts of this may not apply to you; nothing here takes away rights the law guarantees you.

If we disagree

If something goes wrong, talk to us first, email support [at] laertex.com and give us 30 days to make it right. In our experience, almost everything gets solved this way.

If we truly can't resolve it, these terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, and disputes will be handled in courts located in St. Johns County, Florida, or small claims court where you live, if your claim qualifies. Nothing here waives rights that your local consumer protection laws guarantee you.

Changes to these terms

If we make a change that meaningfully affects your rights or costs, we'll email you at least 30 days before it takes effect, with a plain-English summary of what's different. If you keep using Laertex after that, the new terms apply; if you don't like the change, you can close your account before it kicks in, and we'll refund any unused prepaid time. Minor clarifications just update the date at the top.
